5 Methods of Relaxation You May Not Have tried

No one likes getting stressed. Whether that’s due to your work-life commitments or just daily problems, it’s time for you to think of some new ways of being able to take a step back and release some steam from your pressure valve.

Here are 5 relaxation methods that you may not have thought of to help you destress.

Inhale and Exhale techniques

You probably have tried out a multitude of different relaxation techniques through yoga and meditation. But honestly, it doesn’t need to be as complicated as thrusting your stomach to the sky to try and emulate the “crab pose.” Instead, just find a quiet space away from the world and set up a small relaxation area.

The relaxation area can have a blanket, pillows and soft lighting in it. It can even have soft music if that will help you simmer down and take a moment for yourself. Once you are comfortable, it’s time for you to do an inhale and exhale technique. Close your eyes and inhale for 5 seconds. Make sure it is a deep breath. Then, exhale through your mouth and make sure to empty all of the air in your lungs. By just breathing deeply, you will find that you will calm down and will soon be able to focus on your next task.

CBD Vaping

As you may already know, CBD has recently become legal to use for medicinal and relaxation purpose. It may come from Cannabis but it is certainly not an illegal drug. Cannabinoids are sold by specially licenced stores, like VSAVI and can be included in a vape oil. Vaping isn’t like smoking. In fact, vaping is safer and does not include any harsher chemicals, as you would find in a cigarette. If you are looking for a way to relax, perhaps you have been diagnosed with anxiety or have chronic pain, then CBD vaping is a great way to take your mind off your troubles. Just make sure you just use it for therapeutic purposes.

A warm bath

Well, there’s only so much you can say about getting a warm bath. Yes, it’s just you lying in some warm water, but it also comes with some amazing health benefits too. This includes de-stressing, relaxing your muscles, joints and bones and it can even help you calm down your nervous system. Some scientists even say that having a bath can balance your hormones, meaning that it’s easier to calm down in warm water. So, get ready to start your tap and dive in!

Backrubs and massages

If you have a close friend, family member or lover, why not ask them to give you a massage? Stress can really do a number on your muscles, as most of them might tense from adrenalin. Make sure to ask them to get out any knots and use creams to make it easier to rub your back. The feeling of their hands on your skin will help calm you down, as you will feel like you have connected with someone else.

Write your thoughts

It feels good to vent by talking to a friend or family member. But sometimes we don’t really feel like expressing our thoughts with someone else. If you are feeling stressed and went to let it all out, have a vent journal nearby where you can write about your true thoughts and feelings. By getting them all out you will immediately feel like you have been able to relax.
